Happy Lost Birthday Jenny!

I celebrated my big 3-1 with a LOST-themed birthday bash. It was lots of fun. I dressed up as Claire, and Chris dressed up as John Locke.

Here I am as Claire, Josh as Charlie, and Brian as Hurley. It was fun to dress up!

Amy as Juliet.

Here is a Dharma "drop".

Dynamite from the Black Rock.

Some Dharma Beer and Hurley's Connect 4.

We had Dharma everything...beer, soda, chops, chocolate!

Here is my Lost "Crash Island" birthday cake.

Brian, I mean Hurley, and his lucky lotto ticket. Funny enough, he won 2 lottos tickets with our costume contest and random game.

Amy and Josh (Juliet and Charlie).

We loved Brian's shirt reading..."I'm just one big freaking ray of sunshine, aren't I?". It was quite funny.

Sawyer's Dharma biscuits.

Andy as Jack. Nice tatoos!

Merry Christmas 2008!

Merry Christmas 2008! Can it be another year has already gone by? Here is our tree this year...Christmas gifts at all. It's always such a wonderful thing to sit and relax by the tree on a cold winter's night.

Muggles Chillaxin'.

We loved how Copper was using the little camera case as a pillow. The cats are getting a little more adjusted to each other, which is nice.

This year was pretty interesting trying to wrap presents with 2 kitties trying to get wrapped, eat ribbon and attack paper. This was mainly true of Copper, although Muggles tried to hide in the wrapping a few times. And boxes or baskets....that's their place to try to be, for sure. Presents under the tree...Copper was there. It looks like Copper wanted to come along to mom & dad's.

As I was playing with the camera, Muggles just happened to stick out her tongue...I thought it was kind of funny.

A few years ago, I painted some ornaments...the peach one is inspired by Van Gogh's Sunflower paintings.
Chris gets a skiing hippo to go along with his skiing gift card!
And yes, he looks a little scarey...a face mask to wear while he skis. He is not a terrorist, I promise!Amy and I and our quasi-matching outfits...not coordinated. We tend to do this sometimes.

Dad, showing off his Homer Simpson slippers. And here is dad with the Gopher pillows and blanket that I made for him.

Josh loves his soft pillow!

On Christmas Eve, we headed over to Jenny's parents' house. Here are the boys playing a little Mario Kart for Wii...even dad got into the game.

We got a cake like the one we had on our wedding for our 5 year anniversary...we shared a little of it on Christmas Eve. TASTY!!

5 years!

Josh, Amy, Brian, Jenny & Chris. Actually all together in one place. Crazy!

Grant, headless!

Copper

Introducing our new little kitty, Copper! We got her from a friend at Chris' law school, and due to allergies, she needed a new home. Her name was "kitty cat", named by her little toddler. We renamed her Copper, for a couple of reasons. Holden was a name that I always wanted to name a kitty...but seeing as though that's kind of a boy kitty name, we didn't think it would work. Copper is one of the Mountains at Holden Village, so that fit. Also, half of Jenny's relatives come from Roros, Norway, a copper mining town. Copper was a great fit...check out her copper tones and those eyes!

Also...check out the funky green/blue pumpkin we got at a farm in Wisconsin!

Here Copper is peeking around the corner to see how close she can get to Muggles. She really has just wanted to play...and Muggles is kind of thinking...what the heck is another cat doing in my house?!

As it has now been about a month, they are starting to get a little more used to eachother. There still are occasional growls, snarls, hisses and bats of the paw...but we have seen them play a little bit together.
Copper snuck up on Chris' lap as Muggles was taking a nap. Chris looks a little nervous as they had never been this close to eachother before.

I don't think they realized they were playing with the same ball of yarn at the same time. It's a favorite thing for both of them.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

A Festive Fall!

We attended the Poisoned Apple Halloween party last night, with Chris law school gang. It was truly a fun time! We went as Guitar Hero rock stars.

Jenny & Whitney rocking out---she was a "Muse".

Jenny & Shantell...she was a witch.

A few weekends ago, we hit up the corn maze down in Shakopee. We met up with Jenny's brother, Josh, and his wife, Amy and a couple of their friends.

J & A

Here we are, deciphering our map, and finding the way. We came up with a rule, that only one person could have a map and lead us to the next letter in the maze. And, once we started walking, we couldn't stop walking.

We played follow the leader through the maze! What little kids we were! Actually, I think we were freaking out the little kids!

Note the skipping at the head of the line!

It was a fantabulous fall day!

Chris feeding a goat!

Josh launching a mini-pumpkin.
